Keith Brian Grindstone was born January 2, 1980 in Fort Yates, North Dakota to Patricia (Grindstone) Red Legs. Keith attended school in Little Eagle and Flandreau.

Keith enjoyed listening to music and joking around with his friends. He participated in many activities, but mostly enjoyed basketball and baseball. He also loved being around his family and friends. While living in Mandan, Keith loved spending time with his 2 nephews, Emmandy Little Dog, who Keith called “Emz”, and Emil Little Dog, Jr. Keith would pick his nephews up to go play basketball, and afterwards, they would go out for supper and sometimes a movie. He will be greatly missed by all his family, but especially these two nephews.

Keith is survived by his parents, Patricia (Grindstone) & Donovan Red Legs, Sr.; sisters, Justine (Bart) Joshua, Verinda Red Legs, Latoya Red Legs, Melissa Red Legs, Mandy (Ted, Jr.) Taylor and Kelsey Red Legs; brothers, Clyde Weasel and Patrick Red Legs; adopted brother, Dana Fast Horse & family; 15 nephews and 14 nieces; grandparents, Diane (Leon) Brown Otter, Sr., Aaron Grindstone, Barbara Grindstone and Cordelia Benoist; uncles, Ivan, Brian and Gerald Yellow Earrings; aunties, Jeanell, Virginia, Claudia, Tonia, Sam Yellow Earrings, Delta (Charlie) Jamerson, Violet (Bernie) Rainbow, Brenda (Robert) Steele and Faye (Wilbur) Mutchler; auntie, Priscillla Little Dog and uncles, Emil Little Dog, Sr., Bryan Little Dog Swift Cloud, Jerry Archambault and Frank Archambault.

Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Miles Little Dog, Sybil Iron, Gerald Sr. and Lucille Yellow Earrings and Henrietta & Leslie Bobtail Bear; great grandparents, Henry& Nellie Grindstone, Isabel Has Horns and 2 brothers, Chico and Jonathan Red Legs.

Funeral services for Keith Grindstone, 34, of Bismarck, ND, formerly of Little Eagle, SD, were held on Saturday, April 12 at 1:00PM at the Little Eagle Blue Gym. Burial followed at Good Shepherd Episcopal Cemetery, Little Eagle. Visitation was on Friday, Apr. 11th from 6-8:00PM, with services at 7:00PM at Stout Family Funeral Home, Mobridge. Keith entered the spirit world March 30, 2014 in Bismarck, ND.
