St. Joseph’s Indian School Celebrates Graduates

CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. – St. Joseph’s Indian School is proud to announce the graduation of Trenton Langdeau, Kezrai LaRoche, Reyna Kazena, Krista Blaine, Danielle Running Horse, Hope McCloskey and Kayla McCloskey. They graduated with the Chamberlain High School Class of 2018 through St. Joseph’s High School Program. As part of the program, students reside on St. Joseph’s campus where they receive support during their high school years and plan for the future.

Trenton is from Sioux Falls and attended St. Joseph’s since the fourth grade. Trenton was involved in several sports while attending St. Joseph’s and joined basketball while attending Chamberlain High School. He plans to attend Mitchell Technical Institute to major in welding.

Kezrai is from Lower Brule and was involved in several sports while attending St. Joseph’s. She was active in the fall play as a crew member while attending Chamberlain High School. Kezrai plans to attend Stewart School in Sioux Falls for cosmetology.

Krista is from Lower Brule and was involved in the Native American Club, fall play and St. Joseph’s Lakota Nation Invitational Team during her years at Chamberlain High School. She plans to attend Black Hills State University.

Reyna is from Wagner and played volleyball during her time at St. Joseph’s. She plans to work her first year out of high school and attend Black Hills State University the following year.

Kayla is from St. Francis and was involved in the fall play at Chamberlain High School. This summer, she will join the National Guard. In the spring of 2019, she will begin college at Black Hills State University to major in business.

Danielle is from Parmelee and was involved in many activities during her years at St. Joseph’s. While attending Chamberlain High School, she was involved in the Native American Club and St. Joseph’s Lakota Nation Invitational Team. Danielle was selected as the 2014-2015 Miss Chamberlain High School and as the 2017-2018 Miss St. Joseph’s Indian School. This summer, she is participating in the Crazy Horse Summer Internship Program and will continue her education at Black Hills State University.

Hope is from Mission and was involved in the fall play and choir at Chamberlain High School, as well as being a cheerleader for football and boy’s basketball. Next year, she plans to attend Augustana University in Sioux Falls to major in English.
